It’s baaaaaaaack! Calling all Novice and Seasoned Filmmakers!
6:00 PM Friday February 18, 2011 to 6:00 PM Sunday February 20:
At 6:00 PM Friday novice and seasoned filmmakers alike will gather over a weekend, pick up to 5 stories and set out to make them into short films all in a single weekend.
Last year sponsors included: Nikon, Emerge Memphis and the Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commission.
Fuel Film will provide the space, the equipment and the fuel for participants to turn the story ideas of their choice into short films.
Your Registration Fee includes ALL MEALS (from Friday evening through Sunday’s premieres) and a cool 48 Hour Film Launch T-Shirt.
Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their story ideas and then everyone will choose up to 5 movies they wish to make.
Attendees will be required to sign up for either Pre-Production, Production, Post Production or Marketing Teams. Experienced local filmmakers will join novice filmmakers on each team in the areas of scriptwriting, cinematography, audio production, music composition, editing and acting, while marketing teams work on promotion.
Non-Filmmakers – Have you ever wondered what it would be like to make a movie? This single weekend could give you a new perspective and an awesome array of contacts in the industry
Filmmakers – What if you could have 20-30 people working on your short film over a single weekend?
48 Hour Launch weekends are powerful networking events that combine community spirit, local expertise and a truly rare experience in a single weekend.
Some will work through the entire weekend, others will participate on and off throughout the weekend.
