The 3rd Annual Emissaries of Memphis Music celebration will pay tribute to the career achievements of eight remarkable women who have made significant contributions to the growth and sustainability of Memphis Music.

The esteemed 2011 Emissaries are: bassist and MTV’s $5 Cover star, Amy LaVere; American Idol finalist, Lil Rounds; award winning producer and sound engineer, Dawn Hopkins; Grammy nominated and EMI Gospel recording artist, Sheri Jones-Moffett; organic-folk musician and star of MTV’s $5 Cover, Valerie June; reigning Mid-South pop starlet, Dani; legendary Memphis songwriter and vocalist, JoJo Jefferies; and long time Silky Sullivan’s headliner, Barbara Blue.
