Two Shelby County School Students Honored at

State of Shelby County Schools Gala

Amy Baltensperger, Millington High School student and Abby McVay, Collierville Middle School student, winners of the Jaques Student Art Gallery Competition, were recently honored at the State of Shelby County Schools Gala. The event, presented by Bank of Bartlett with contributing sponsors, FedEx and Brother Industries, highlighted the outstanding achievements of the system and the talents of their students.

The Jaques Student Art Gallery competition is funded through an endowment to the Shelby County Schools Education Foundation given by the James A. Jaques and Rosemary M. Jaques Charitable Trust.  The competition encourages students in Shelby County Schools to continue pursuing their love for art and also recognizes the winners’ teachers for their leadership.
